Calling for Nominations: Eastern Maar Reserved Member, First Peoples’ Assembly of Victoria

Eastern Maar Aboriginal Corporation is calling for nominations from Eastern Maar rights holders to be
our Reserved Member for the First Peoples’ Assembly of Victoria, within Gellung Warl.

This is a leadership role of trust, accountability and strong cultural representation, carrying the voice
of our 13 family groups into statewide Treaty decisions.

WHAT THE ROLE INVOLVES

• Representing and asserting Eastern Maar interests within the First Peoples’ Assembly
• Contributing to ongoing Treaty negotiations and implementation
• Engaging with and reporting back to Eastern Maar

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR

• Eastern Maar rights holders aged 18+.
• Ability to commit to a 4‑year term
• Strong understanding of the Treaty and Gellung Warl
• Experience in leadership, governance, or collective decision‑making
• Capacity to work in complex or sensitive environments
• Dedication to advancing Eastern Maar priorities
• Availability for meetings, travel and ongoing engagement

KEY DATES

Nominations close: 9am Monday 16 March
Shortlisted applicants notified: Thursday 26 March
Full Group presentations: Saturday 28 March
Member Confirmed: Week of 30 March
Position Begins: Friday 1 May
