Eastern Maar Aboriginal Corporation (EMAC) as the Registered Aboriginal Party are currently accepting expressions of interest for interested Eastern Maar Citizens to be on the Western Highway Working Group.
The Working Group will be established to assist EMAC in informing the Cultural Heritage Management Plan (CHMP) and Cultural Values Assessment processes for the Western Highway Duplication Project.
As a Working Group member, you will provide advice and support the Eastern Maar board, act on behalf of the broader Eastern Maar Community and collaboratively work with Major Roads Projects Victoria (MRPV) to identify tangible and intangible cultural values of the project.
There are 10 places available on the working group, with preference given to Tjap/Djab Wurrung Community members. Nominees will be endorsed by the Eastern Maar Board as Family Representatives.
A Terms of Reference will be developed and endorsed by the Eastern Maar Board prior to the first meeting (expected to be early June).
