Are you an aspiring or established artist keen to support Eastern Maar Aboriginal Corporation? We are seeking artists of all skill levels to submit their freshest designs to be the next feature of our newsletter ngarweeyan eeye.
ngarweeyan eeye, which translates to ‘Our Voice’ in Keeray Woorrong language, aims to capture a sense of community ownership in the stories that we share.
As such, we believe Eastern Maar Citizens should have the opportunity to have their work featured in the newsletter. Artists who take part will have an opportunity to have their artwork on the front page of the newsletter.
Submissions are open for all types of artists and mediums, including painters, drawers, sculptors, designers, photographers, jewellery artists, metalwork, woodwork and everything in between.
We encourage Eastern Maar Citizens of all ages and skill levels to submit their work. Art could be something you have already created or a completely new design.
Preferred dimensions for artworks such as paintings, drawings and photography are in portrait suited for A4 Printing (210mm x 297mm) or landscape suited for A3 Printing (420mm x 297mm). Artworks submitted in landscape would cover the front and back of the EMAC Newsletter. Photos taken in landscape would need to be a high enough resolution to cover this size. The image would need to be about 3508 x 4961 pixels. Artworks requiring photographs can be completed by EMAC. Artist fee will be discussed with artists.

The artwork above was supplied by Tracy Roach. Her piece Kirrae Dreaming is the featuring piece on the front cover of this edition of the ngarweeyan eeye. Her art has a strong focus on reconnecting to Country. You can find the Newsletter at this link: ngarweeyan eeye
