Tower Hill Project Officer

Position Opening

The Tower Hill Project Officer is a newly established position responsible for supporting a partnership approach between EMAC and Parks Victoria (PV) in the delivery of the Tower Hill Upgrade project. This includes representing, liaising, and organising advice from Eastern Maar Elders and citizens, to guide and contribute to project delivery outcomes. In addition to this the role will be responsible for ensuring Eastern Maar citizens are kept updated on the status and progress of the project. 

Key roles and responsibilities include:

  • Be EMAC’s operational point of contact for the Tower Hill Upgrade project related matters.
  • Work with EMAC employees, its members and Eastern Maar community where applicable, on Tower Hill Upgrade activities.
  • Work with PV to develop, guide, facilitate or coordinate any collective and common planning and project initiatives related to the Shipwreck Coast Project (Saddle and Blowhole Lookouts).

Skills and experience

Essential

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with demonstrated experience of working collaboratively and influencing across multiple stakeholder groups.
  • Sound project management skills with demonstrated ability to take initiative and manage issues.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Highly developed verbal and written communication skills, and the ability to conceptualise and communicate ideas using a wide range of tools. 
     

Desirable

  • Experience Qualification in project management or equivalent discipline.
  • Demonstrated understanding of the regulatory framework in which EMAC operates.
  • Experience working with State Government agencies 
     

Other position requirements 

  • The incumbent requires the ability to travel regularly for work related purposes. A current Victorian driver’s licence is essential.
  • Proficiency in the use of computer and telecommunications technology.
